Elis Plzeň is a manufacturer of ultrasonic and magnetic flowmeters,
and heat meters used for water and steam.
The primary markets for the firm’s products are found in the
water, heat, power, food, and chemical industries.
Elis Plzeň is considered the leader in the manufacturer of
ultrasonic flow- meters in the Czech
Republic. In 2006, it exported 50% of
its total product output.
History
Elis Plzeň
s.r.o. was founded in 1990, and in
1991 introduced its original product line of heat meters.
The firm became a limited company in 1991, and in 1993 introduced
its new line of steam heat meters. The
firm then incorporated as a joint stock company in 1997, and introduced
its own line of magnetic flowmeters in 1998.
The year 2003 marked Elis Plzeň’s entry as a supplier into
the ultrasonic flowmeter market.
Products
Elis Plzeň’s product range includes ultrasonic
and magnetic flowmeters, as well as heat meters for use in water and steam
applications. The magnetic
flowmeter line is designed for liquid applications, as is the ultrasonic
line. The company also
maintains its own testing and calibration facility for flowmeters, and
this facility can accommodate flowmeters
ranging in size from 1”-8” in diameter.
